Geert Wilders Attacks Turkey, Romania And Bulgaria

Islam hating Geert Wilders plans on joining the European Parliament through elections to be held in 2009. At the recent launch of his electoral campaign, Mr. Wilders attacked fellow E.U. partners Romania and Bulgaria as being corrupt and called for their expulsion from the Union. He also went on to say that Turkey must never be allowed to accede to the European Union not even after a thousand years:

“Geert Wilders, the Dutch leader of the xenophobic Freedom Party has announced his intention to stand for the European Parliament in the upcoming June elections.
He and his Freedom Party (Partij Voor de Vrijheid, or PVV) are to mount the EU hustings under the slogan “For the Netherlands.”

…Mr Wilders said the party would fight to reverse the accession of Bulgaria and Romania, calling the two countries “corrupt nations.”

The PVV also wants to head to Strasbourg to prevent Turkey from joining the bloc.
Turkey must not become a member “not now, not in a hundred years, not in a thousand years, entirely never,” the anti-Islam Mr Wilders said in a statement.

The party, arguing there must be “less Europe and more Netherlands” will also campaign to shrink the scope of EU governance to a minimum, restricting itself to nothing beyond economic co-operation – the European Union’s “original task.”

“Those billions must be given to Dutch citizens instead of the farmers in Poland, France and Portugal that we subsidise,” said the hard-right politician, formerly of the pro-free-market centre-right People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy (Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie, or VVD)”

Its funny how a country can be so civilised as to join NATO but at the same time be so barbaric as to be denied entry to the European Union. I wonder why that is ? For more on Turkey’s accession to the E.U. see: Turkey And The Hypocritical European Union.

Sen. Chris Buttars: Gays Greatest Threat To America

In interview to ABC 4 on Tuesday night, Sen. Chris Buttars of Utah State Senate said that the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community was the greatest threat to America:

“Sen. Chris Buttars considers the gay-rights movement — nationally and in Utah — “probably the greatest threat to America.”

In an interview with documentary filmmaker Reed Cowan, released by ABC 4 on Tuesday night, Buttars said the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community doesn’t want “equality, they want superiority.”

“It’s the beginning of the end. Oh, it’s worse than that. Sure. Sodom and Gomorrah was localized. This is worldwide,” the West Jordan Republican said in the interview…..

… Buttars also compared gay activists to Muslim terrorists.

Buttars said Wednesday he’s not commenting on the interview but he plans to post a blog item about it on the Senate’s Web site later.

Last year, the NAACP called for Buttars to resign after comments he made on the Senate floor about a complex, school-funding bill, saying, “This baby is black. It’s a dark ugly thing.” (Source: The Salt Lake Tribune)

So much for freedom of action between consenting adults.

This is not the first time that an American politician has labelled the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community as the greatest threat to America. For more see Youtube Video: Gays Not Muslims Are The Greatest Threat To America.

Israeli Minister: IDF Endangers Own Soldiers To Save Arabs

The Israeli Justice Minister Daniel Friedmann addressed a gathering of the presidents of major American Jewish organizations recently. At the meeting Friedmann defended Israel’s actions during recent anti-terror operations in Gaza.

Friedmann then went on to make it clear that “Israeli-Arabs” are treated liberally and well. So much so that they have access to rights that no other minority group has anywhere in the world:

“International law recognizes that in certain circumstances, innocents can be hurt. If a child is brought in front of a military target, it is still a military target,” said Justice Minister Daniel Friedmann on Wednesday in a response to global outrage against Israel following alleged violations of human rights during Operation Cast Lead.

Addressing participants at the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, Friedmann added: “If you have one soldier trapped in a city, you do not destroy an entire city to get there. The Israeli army has taken every precaution to prevent injury and death to civilians. We are going to great lengths to avoid harm and even endanger our own soldiers to avoid casualties on the other side.”

…The minister also related to the status of the Arab minority in Israel.

“There is no country in the world treating a minority more liberally than Israel treats the Israeli Arabs,” he said. “They identify with our enemies, but we take care of them. […] They are represented in the parliament. This would not happen anywhere else in the world.”

A reshuffle ordered by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has seen the the promotion of Norah al-Faiz to the deputy minister portfolio responsible for women’s education. This is the first time that the kingdom home to Islam’s holiest sites has given such a ministerial position to a women:

“Saudi Arabia has named a woman as deputy minister for education – the most senior role ever held by a female in the kingdom.

Norah al-Faiz was named as the deputy minister responsible for women’s education as part of a reshuffle of the cabinet, military and judiciary on Saturday….

…The reshuffle, King Abdullah’s first since he took power following the the death of his half-brother in 2005, also saw new education, justice and information ministers appointed.

The monarch also appointed Abdul-Aziz Khoja, who was previously ambassador to Lebanon, as information minister, replacing Iyad bin Amin Madani, state-run al-Ekhbariya television reported.

Clerics had often criticised Madani for allowing the local press to take greater liberty in challenging the establishment.” (Source: Al-Jazeera English)

Quote: Avigdor Lieberman On Democratic Values

“The vision I would like to see here is the entrenching of the Jewish and the Zionist state. I very much favor democracy, but when there is a contradiction between democratic and Jewish values, the Jewish and Zionist values are more important.” ~ Avigdor Lieberman, leader of Yisrael Beiteinu.
