Michael Ben-Ari Refuses To Condemn Israel Mosque Attack

Israeli politicians are coming forth to condemn the arson attack on a mosque in the Samarian village of Yasuf recently. However not all those asked to comment are able to condemn. Dr. Michael Ben-Ari, a member of the National Union in the Israeli Knesset had the following to say:

National Union MK Michael Ben-Ari, however, said he was not upset about the mosque burning.

“I have no tears left to cry after so many of my friends were murdered by the Arab enemy,” said Ben-Ari.

“I have no condemnations left after synagogues were burned in Gush Katif and Jewish graves were defiled in the Mount of Olives cemetery. Those who want us to erase the Jewish people should not expect us to sympathize with them,” the MK said.” {Source: Jerusalem Post}

From The Benefits Of An Obama Adminstration

It’s said that a week in politics is a long time so how about 30 odd weeks ? By now the world should have had enough time to make up their minds about Barak Obama.

For what it’s worth I’ve certainly made my mind up. Unlike many I did not think that Obama was the Messiah nor did I think that he was going to carry on with many of the mistakes made up during the Bush years. From what I’ve seen so far I think my predictions have been spot on.

Much of American foreign policy stays the same with some exceptions given to “widow dressing”. Gone are the days of the in your face crusader George W. Bush only to be replaced with political stunts such as Obama’s Cairo speech. For many that is celebration enough and after the barren years of Bush II that was a blessing.

In reality Obama’s hands are tied much like any other president he has to pander to all the interest groups that have helped him into office. Many of these interests are pulling at him in opposite directions. Only time will tell which of them will win.

On a side point as a Muslim there has been one benefit to the Obama administration. Right-wing Americans seem to hate him as much as they hate law abiding Muslims:

So for those of you whoever thought what can be as evil as a Muslim ? Well  you have the answer….  its Barack Obama.

Quote: Avigdor Lieberman Warns Arab-Israeli Politicians In 2006

“The fate of the collaborators in the Knesset will be identical to that of those who collaborated with the Nazis. Collaborators, as well as criminals, were executed after the Nuremberg trials at the end of the World War Two. I hope that will be the fate of collaborators in this house.” ~ Avigdor Lieberman warning Arab members of the Knesset in 2006 who support the Palestinian cause.

Top Ten Most Stupidest Iraq Quotes

With peace, light and Jeffersonian democracy fully established in Iraq. The war and subsequent vicious insurgency are just a distant and fading memory in the mind of the main stream media. I thought it would advantageous to take a look back at the top ten most stupid Iraq quotes from recent history:

Were it not for the fact that so much blood has been split the quotes above may just have been ironically humorous in a macabre fashion.

Ali Hasan: The Muslim Republican

Ali Hasan is an unusual member of the Republican party. Although in favour of low taxes and limited government, Hasan is a member of religion that many in the G.O.P view as being satanic.

In this interview with Evan McMorris-Santoro at the recent Conservative Political Action Conference, Hasan looks at Republican paranoia over Islam:

“Ali Hasan, founder of Muslims For America, took the stage at the Omni Shoreham Friday as part of CPAC’s roundtable of state conservative activists. The ‘08 CO state legislative candidate (he lost with 47% of the vote) and one-time media darling believes the conservative message needs to change….

“If you’re against labor unions, you’re a conservative,” he said. “If you’re against bailouts, you’re a conservative. It doesn’t matter if you’re gay, Mexican or Muslim.”

..”I’ve never understood why being for low taxes and limited government automatically makes you anti-gay, ant-immigrant or anti-Muslim,” he said in an interview. “To me, conservatism is about open mindedness.”

…Hasan traces the nation’s recent bout with “xenophobia” to 9/11, which he said turned a “tolerant” conservative message used by George W. Bush during the 2000 campaign into “paranoia” against Muslims on the part of some. He said he hopes to use Muslims for America to educate conservatives about Islam and what he said are “the more than 1 billion Muslims worldwide who aren’t against America.”

Hasan says the conservative negativity toward Muslims reached a peak during the 2008 election cycle, when then-candidate Barack Obama’s Christian faith was questioned by some on the right. During the homestretch of the election, GOP nominee John McCain tried to put a damper on the faith questions by saying “no, ma’am, he’s not. He’s a decent, family man” when a supporter declared during a campaign event that Barack Obama was “an Arab.”

Is it me or does it look like that Ali Hasan is the only Muslim in the Republican Party ?
