In a statement that that leaves no room for misunderstanding, accused terrorist Yaakov Teitel claims that he acted in the service of his God.  His comments  came while an indictment was being served in the Jerusalem District Court against him.

So far Teitel has been charged with two counts of murder, three counts of attempted murder , holding and manufacturing weapons and inciting violence.

The two murder charges relate to the deaths of two Arabs, while the attempted murder charge relates to an explosive attack on a 15 year old Messianic boy:

It was my pleasure and honor to serve my God, God is proud of what I have done, I have no regrets,” Teitel declared as he entered the courtroom.

Teitel, 37, a father of four, dubbed ‘the Jewish terrorist’ is suspected of a series of ideologically-motivated attacks targeting Palestinians, Leftists, homosexuals and Messianic Jews…..

…According to the indictment, whic includes 14 charges, Teitel was responsible for the death of two Arabs and for wounding Israel Prize laureate Prof. Ze’ev Sternhell. He was also accused of planting a bomb at the entrance to house of a messianic Jewish couple in Ariel, seriously wounding their son, Ami Ortiz, who was then 15.” {Source: Jerusalem Post}

Will the accused’s defence team play the “mental health card” in order to lessen his punishment ? Will Teitel end up in a prison or a mental health hospital ? These are just some of the questions waiting Yaakov Teitel and his trial.
