Christian terrorists of the Lord’s Resistance Army have attacked southern Sudan in another murderous series of attacks. According to reports seven civilians have been killed over the past week including three old men and a child.

The Commissioner of Nzara county where the attacks took place claims that locals are unable to say if members of the LRA abducted any civilians:

“At least three old men were killed by the marauding LRA rebels in a separate barbaric attack at the village of Tumba in Western Equatoria close to Congo border, making the bloodiest week for Nzara County ever since the LRA rebels entered southern Sudan.

The deadliest week in Nzara has claimed the lives of seven innocent civilians.

According to the Commissioner of Nzara, who contacted the press by phone from Nzara, Col Sentina Ndefu said that, “the killing of the three old men took place before the Friday’s murder of four civilians including a child at Buremanga Boma.”

…The commissioner further disclosed that, “due to poor communications in the county and lack of forensic search, until now body knows how people the LRA rebels have abducted this fall, as many civilians are still scattered, this may take some time for identification.” {Source: Sudan Tribune}
