Kiryat Arba is an Israeli settlement attached the West Bank town of Hebron. It came to world prominence back in 1994 when Dr. Baruch Goldstein perpetrated a massacre of Muslims at the Cave of the Patriarchs.

The settlement has once again come to the notice of the world as another of it’s residents has been indicted on charges of incitement by an Israeli court.

Shmuel Ben-Yishai is a 51-year-old resident of Kiryat Arba and during an interview given to Arutz Sheva last year he  made incendiary statements. Ben-Yishai called for the slaughter of Israeli soldiers who took part in  the dismantling of  settlements around Hebron:

“…a statement Ben-Yishai made during the eviction of Gilad Farm outpost near Hebron a year ago.

Reporters covering the event quoted him as saying: “Damn the Ishmael defense and police forces. Damn all security forces. We wish them to cower before their enemies, we wish for all of them to become Gilad Shalit, for all of them to be slaughtered. That’s what they deserve.

“They are an army that protects Hamas and Palestine, an army that sacrifices Jewish blood for the sake of Palestine and that is what they deserve.” {Source: Ynet News}
