It’s said that a week in politics is a long time so how about 30 odd weeks ? By now the world should have had enough time to make up their minds about Barak Obama.

For what it’s worth I’ve certainly made my mind up. Unlike many I did not think that Obama was the Messiah nor did I think that he was going to carry on with many of the mistakes made up during the Bush years. From what I’ve seen so far I think my predictions have been spot on.

Much of American foreign policy stays the same with some exceptions given to “widow dressing”. Gone are the days of the in your face crusader George W. Bush only to be replaced with political stunts such as Obama’s Cairo speech. For many that is celebration enough and after the barren years of Bush II that was a blessing.

In reality Obama’s hands are tied much like any other president he has to pander to all the interest groups that have helped him into office. Many of these interests are pulling at him in opposite directions. Only time will tell which of them will win.

On a side point as a Muslim there has been one benefit to the Obama administration. Right-wing Americans seem to hate him as much as they hate law abiding Muslims:

So for those of you whoever thought what can be as evil as a Muslim ? Well  you have the answer….  its Barack Obama.
