First Female Airforce Academy Graduate Killed In War On Terror
U.S.Air Force 1st Lieutenant Roslyn Schulte was travelling from Kabul to Bagram Airfield when her convoy passed a roadside bomb. In the resulting explosion the young officer was killed. Her funeral was held on Monday :
“Air Force 1st Lt. Roslyn Schulte was buried Monday, five days after she was killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan. She was 25.
Rabbi Mark Shook told the hundreds who filled Congregation Temple Israel that no one in the temple would ever take Memorial Day for granted again.
Officials say Schulte was the Air Force Academy’s 10th graduate — and first female graduate — killed in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.” {Source: Springfield News Leader}
