Please accept my apologies for my absence.

About a month ago I had to reformat my computer and as a result I lost the ability to connect to the internet. The computer problem was compounded by the fact that a close relative was diagnosed with cancer. Between these two problems I have not been able to give my undivided attention to this weblog.

The situation changed recently and I am now able to connect to the internet and my relative has been operated on and is awaiting chemotherapy.

I shall try to over the next few days to start to increase my postings to their pre-absence frequency.
