(Video Included) Is Ayaan Hirsi Ali A Liar?

This is Ayaan Hirsi Ali a Somalian born member of the Dutch parliament. It appears that Ayaan Hirsi Ali is in a spot of bother.
Ayaan Hirsi Ali is famous for co-producing a 11 minute video polemic against Islam with now murdered Dutch director Theo Van Gogh. The video can be viewed below.
New reports are coming out of Holland that Ayaan Hirsi Ali has told more lies than previously admitted in order to gain asylum in Holland.
Expatica an English language source of news for expatriates living in Holland has full coverage of this story . A synopsis is provided below.
The story that Ayaan Hirsi Ali has told the world so far is that she suffered the ravages of war in Somalia and the threat of murder from her family for refusing to go through with an arranged marriage . In order to save her life Ayaan Hirsi Ali escaped Somalia and ended up in Holland claiming asylum. The realities of her life are some what different and are numerated below:
- Ayaan Hirsi Ali claims that her name is Ayaan Hirsi Ali this is not true her actual name is Hirsi Magan
- Ayaan Hirsi Ali claims that she was not present at her own wedding ceremony arranged by her family to a Canadian Somali. Her brother and aunt claim that she was present at the ceremony.
- Ayaan Hirsi Ali claims that she was forced into marrying her husband. He claims that they were in love and that he only left her so that he could come back to Canada and make arrangements for her to join him.
- Supplied with an airplane ticket to join her husband in Canada Ayaan Hirsi Ali made it all the way to Germany and rather than continuing with her journey westwards she diverted to Holland and claimed asylum.
- Ayaan Hirsi Ali claims that she lived through 5 civil wars in Somalia which is not true. Ayaan Hirsi Ali lived for twelve years of her life from the age of 10 to 22 in safe Kenya with her brother.
- It appears that after her move to Holland Ayaan Hirsi Ali was still in contact with her father a member of the family she said tried to kill her. She also met her husband who came to visit her in Holland. He left her without harming her when she made it clear to him that she did not want to continue with the marriage.
Since these revelations have come to light the former Dutch Immigration Minister at the time of her original application Hilbrand Nawijn has called for Ayaan Hirsi Ali to be stripped of her Dutch nationality and to be deported.
Even by her own admission, the answer to the question is Ayaan Hirsi Ali a liar? The answer is a definite yes!

In my humble opinion, this video is not against ISLAM but against the way some people USE Islam to oppress women. And I don’t think it should carry a death sentence.
Kashmiri, is religion REALLY your only interest?

Mononoke many people consider the video to be a critique of Islam whether it is or it is not I leave to the discretion of the viewer.
As for the question is religion my only interest …..I have other interests but why do you ask ?

In my never to be humble opinion, Hirsi Ali has acknowledged lieing about her name to get into holland. I read her account of her marriage and she says that she didn’t want to marry her husband and said so to her father but that she felt to much pressure to say yes that she didn’t feel she could say no. i have simpathy for this possition but it cannot be called brave. a question: which is more likely: that a young girl is in love with a man who has promised to take care of her and live well in a western country and then runs away for no reason and claims not to be in love with him. or that a man who (by HIS own admission) didn’t take the time to get to know Ayaan before they were married (in an attempt to get her to come and live with him in canada he said that he was willing to try to get to know her) is trying to save face by claiming that they were in love all along. i think i know the answer. 4 is the answer to 3 i don’t know what dishonesty this convicts her of accept the one she admits to when she says she agrees to marry a man against her will to comply with social pressures. what is left to explain? she never claims that her father trys to kill her, i have read her works and she never claims this (i would like a quote from her to support this claim that she accuses her father of trying to kill her) i think it is a lie of yours that she claims this. and she gives a rendition of her husbands visit that is very simpathetic i think and naver accuses him of anything that would contradict your last sentense of (6). she says the same thing you say.

Though I have not met or talked with Ms. Hirsi personally, I know the man she said she was forced to marry. He was my roommate at the time of their marriage and is my childhood friend and an avid basketball player who played basketball for one of the Somalia’s well known Seria A teams. He and I grew up together and were roommates at the time of their marriage in Nairobi, Kenya. I still remember the day he left for Kenya to visit his family in Mombasa. His travel to Kenya was solely for a family visit. He had no intention of marrying Mrs. Hirsi as he did not know her at all. I guess things changed when he got to Kenya and met with friends and family who introduced him with Ms. Hisri.
I know that for a fact that Ayan is a liar because she lied about my friend and their marriage.. Ayan said that he was older than her. My friend is now 45 years old and at the time of their marriage which I believe it was 1992 he was only 27 years old. Ayan is either about his age or may be 2 or three years younger. I also know for a fact that she was never forced to marry his. I was there when Ayan used to call him collect almost every other night. So why would you call collect someone that you don’t love and you were forced to marry? Ayan was never a refugee. She lived and studied in Nairobi, Kenya. Even her older brother in Nairobi attested to that when the journalist from Netherlands went to Nairobi, Kenya. The reporter visited the schools that she attended and met with her teachers. She laid about her age, name, family, status, religion of Islam, and above all about my dear friend. I think this lady is nothing but an opportunist who will do everything for money and fame.

@Issa thanks for that long and thoughtful comment. I always thought there was something suspect about Hirsi Ali.
